Welcome to Life Springs
Thanks for stopping by! My name’s Byron Leavitt, and you just stepped into my head. Beware. 😉
Life Springs is a place of wonder, darkness and hope. It is a place to contemplate the nature of life, death, and eternity. It is a place to consider God, and a place for you to heal.
And it is also my sounding board. There’s some weird stuff here, like the book I’m writing chapter-by-chapter called “The Fish in Jonah’s Puddle (To Say Nothing of the Demon.)”
I’m a creator. What does that mean exactly? It means I write. I tell stories. I make websites. I’m a public speaker. I paint. I design and publish books. I make images. I’m a budding programmer and Photoshop monkey. I cast miniatures out of metal and resin. And I’m planning on getting into shooting videos. In short, I create stuff.
I spend a lot of time thinking about God, the nature of things, and the wondrous glimmer of light in the dark. I think a lot about death, too. What it means for us here, and what it means for us beyond. Does that make me morbid? Maybe. Some would certainly think so, and it would account for my twisted sense of humor. But I’ll let you be the judge.
I am married to my best friend, Sarah, and we live in a centennial Swiss-style house with our two daughters, Aurora and Eden, our butler, Egad, our gremlin, Brain, our gargoyle baby, and any number of carnivorous plants. Our deck is encased in Morning Glory. I recently went into remission from recurring Hodgkin’s Lymphoma following a bone marrow transplant, a journey you can read about in my current book (available for free, I might add,) “The Cancer Diaries,” and in my forthcoming, expanded version “The Complete Cancer Diaries.”
If you would like to read some of the best content here on Life Springs, here are a couple of my personal favorites:
My first book, “The Cancer Diaries,” is currently available as a free download here. My next book, “The Complete Cancer Diaries,” will finish the story, and will be available shortly in print and on Kindle. The book after that, “The Fish in Jonah’s Puddle (To Say Nothing of the Demon),” is going to be released chapter by chapter on this very website shortly. Keep an eye out for it!
If you would like to have me come and speak to your group, church or event attendees, drop me a line. I’d love to spread some wonder and hope to you and yours.
Contact and Prayer
Speaking of which, if you have a question, concern, or thought, I’d love to hear it. Send me a note and we’ll chat. Furthermore, if you or someone you know needs prayer and wants to be on the prayer list, please let me know. I would love to add you (or your loved one) to get prayed for.
God bless you, and I hope to talk to you soon!
